Big changes are in store for the Prince Rupert Port Authority’s Port Interpretive Centre, as it gets set to undergo renovations.
Upgrades to the facility, which also serves as the Visitor Information Centre, aim to better reflect the Port and community in their current form.
A new interior design will feature unique interactive elements, career planning tools, and activities for youth to learn about the harbour.
But, in order to ensure the renovations are completed by the summer, the Centre will need to close down to the public beginning February 15th.
It will re-open in mid-June, with travel planning resources available online in the meantime, and staff remaining available via phone and e-mail during the closure.
