A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Prince Rupert McDonald’s from last week.
RCMP were called to the 11th Avenue restaurant for reports of the robbery just before 1:00 in the afternoon on January 29th.
Witnesses say the man had been waiting in line, but when it came his time to order, he produced a knife and demanded cash from the til.
By the time police had arrived on scene, the man had already fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
But, with the assistance of the General Investigations Section, officers were able to identify a suspect.
Police have now apprehended the 43 year-old suspect, who remains in custody to appear in court next week.
