Police are on the lookout for a suspected arsonist following a pair of fires at the same Prince Rupert residence in less than a month.
On the morning of January 30th, RCMP were called out to the home on the 1600 block of 11th Avenue East for reports of a suspected electrical fire.
But a review of surveillance footage from neighbouring homes revealed a man dressed in all black igniting the blaze at the side of the home.
Days later, on February 10th, the Prince Rupert Fire Department was called out to the same residence for reports of a car fire in the driveway.
Another review of CCTV footage showed a man with a similar build and clothing lighting the blaze before fleeing with his arm and leg on fire.
Crews were able to extinguish both fires relatively quickly, and no injuries were reported as a result.
Police are now looking for information or video footage which may help identify the suspect.
Anyone with information should contact Prince Rupert RCMP at 250 625 2136.
