Coastal GasLink says they are aware of a recent online post alleging months of coordinated sabotage along their pipeline route.
But they also say that, as of yet, they have found no evidence to verify the claims of vandalism made in the post, linked here.
In the post, the anonymous source claims to have drilled holes in pipes, and damaged concrete and welds at numerous points on the pipeline.
While the post lists incidents of vandalism at 10 different spots, it also claims to have falsified some of those instances to keep CGL guessing.
Despite not finding any evidence of tampering, CGL says they take the threat very seriously, and are initiating a review of the claims.
They are also participating in an RCMP investigation into the claims, and are denouncing a recent escalation in violent incidents along the route.
CGL says they employ state-of-the-art safety systems and carefully inspect the route regularly, and are prioritizing the safety of communities and workers.
Skeena MLA Ellis Ross, meanwhile, shared the post last night, calling it an admission of eco-terrorism and urging government to investigate.
