Public Service employees in BC will no longer be required to provide proof of vaccination against Covid-19, beginning on April 3rd.
That extends to contractors and others working in BC Public Service workplaces, but not to those working in health care settings.
Vaccine mandates will also remain in place for those working with vulnerable populations, such as long term care or assisted living homes.
According to the Province, roughly 98 percent of public service employees are vaccinated, easing the decision to rescind the mandate.
