Students from across BC will have better access to healthy meals and snacks at school, through the Province’s new Feeding Futures Fund.
A $214 million investment over the next three years will help each school district create or expand local school food programs.
It marks the single largest investment into school food programs in the province’s history.
They are also working to include the Feed BC program in the initiative to support local food producers and economies.
Just over $557,000 will go to the Coast Mountains School District, the Prince Rupert School District gets $117,000, and the Bulkley Valley District gets $164,000.
