Terrace is officialy set to become a hub to deal with repeat offenders.
A dedicated team of police, prosecutors, and probation officers are being established in 12 communities throughout the province.
Those teams will work specifically to coordinate responses across the justice system to ensure effective outcomes for repeat offenders.
Established hubs will also serve surrounding communities, and work with local stakeholders and existing programs like situation tables to ensure collaborative information sharing.
Williams Lake and Prince George will also see the creation of repeat offender hubs.
Part of the Repeat Violent Offending Intervention Initiative, the province is investing $16 million over the next three years to strengthen law enforcement and investigations of repeat violent offenders.
