Once completed, the plan will define how the City will adapt their infrastructure and community services to reflect the impacts of climate change.
It’s development is fully funded by the Province, and will include consultations and outreach with the public and neighbouring communities.
Qualified proponents interested in helping the City develop the strategy have until May 29th to apply for consideration through BC Bid.
One contractor will be selected to provide climate data forecasts, and identify potential impacts and vulnerabilities to infrastructure.
They will also help the City develop a systemic approach to decision-making and priority setting, and find ways to make their existing policies more climate-ready.
