Visitors to the Port of Prince Rupert this cruise season will be met with a new, uniquely port-themed, attraction.
Over the past few months, Tourism Prince Rupert has been working to set up a series of 20 foot shipping containers along the Atlin Promenade.
But, instead of storing goods and resources, these containers will be used to house local vendors in the new Cow Bay Container Market.
Each unit features a fully finished interior, with lightning, electricity, a customizable modular retail display system, and a large storefront window.
Three of the five containers are complete so far, housing the visitor information centre, storage, and an open market with space for three vendors.
Once completed, the final two units will house local vendors on a two-week rotating basis.
You can find out more information on the Market at this link.
