A suspect who attempted to avoid arrest in Kitimat last week probably wishes he had a better escape plan, after cornering himself in a gully.
RCMP were initially called out to the Albatross Avenue area on May 6th for complaints of a suspicious man banging on doors and windows.
When officers arrived on scene and attempted to stop the man, he would flee the area on foot, leading to a brief search.
They would find him near Kitimat City High a short time later, at which point the man jumped into a nearby gully, and began hurling threats at police.
After being unable to convince the man to exit the ravine, a police dog was sent in to help apprehend the man.
He was then taken into custody before being brought to hospital.
