Blistering hot temperatures are leading to rising river levels across BC, prompting a number of alerts from the River Forecast Centre.
A Flood Watch has been issued for the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers and their tributaries near Terrace, Smithers, Telkwa, Kispiox, and the Hazeltons.
Meanwhile, a high streamflow advisory remains in place covering streams in and around Fort St John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, and the Pine Pass.
High streamflow advisories are also covering the Quesnel and Little Swift Rivers, as well as the Fraser and Upper Fraser Rivers and tributaries between Quesnel and Prince George.
Another Flood Watch is also in place for the Bella Coola River and its tributaries.
Flows in the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers are currently at 2 year flood levels, but could hit 10 year levels by mid-week.
