Residents with a planning on flying with WestJet over the next few days are being advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
That advise comes as WestJet begins a phased parking of the majority of their fleet, amid a potential strike from its pilots.
Members of the Air Line Pilots Association issued a strike notice on Monday, with the intent to begin striking at 3:00 tomorrow morning.
With the parties still far apart on a deal, it’s looking more and more like those plans may come to fruition.
As a result, WestJet has already canceled close to 100 flights, though they plan to keep limited flights going during the process.
Flights out of the Northwest Regional Airport appear to be going ahead, but residents can check their flight through this link.
