Evacuation orders which had been in place for residents of Old and New Remo have now been lifted, as river levels in the Skeena continue to drop.
Meanwhile, alerts which had covered other sections of those communities, as well as Usk and Braun’s Island, have also been rescinded.
So too has a local state of emergency which had been issued for Areas B and C of the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine.
A separate state of emergency issued by the City of Terrace remains in place, but is set to expire tomorrow.
Evacuation alerts also remain in place for the area around Braun’s Island from Skeena Street south of Haugland, east to Kenney south of Medeek.
That comes as flows in the Skeena and Bulkley Rivers drop below two year flood levels, and are expected to continue receding.
A flood warning which had been covering the rivers and their tributaries has also been lifted entirely by the River Forecast Centre.
But a flood watch remains in place for rivers and tributaries in the Peace Region, and North Cariboo between Quesnel and Prince George.
A high streamflow advisory is also covering the Liard River and its tributaries.
