Students in Prince Rupert will see a number of new faces next school year, following a shuffling of administrative staff by School District 52.
Former Conrad and Pineridge Elementary Vice Principal Mackenzie Guadagni will be taking over as Principal of Lax Kxeen Elementary.
Cora Barak will be taking over for her as Vice Principal of Conrad, after filling the same role at Lax Kxeen for the past year.
After serving as a member of the District’s Indigenous Education Department, and as a counsellor, Lori Leighton is the new VP at Prince Rupert Middle School.
She’ll take over for Michael McDowall, as he shifts to the VP role at Ecole Roosevelt, bringing nine years of experience in French immersion.
Debra Fabbi, who had served as VP of Conrad and Pineridge in the past, will join McDowall as Principal of Ecole Roosevelt Elementary.
And her predecessor, Anree Michaud will become the Principal of Pineridge Elementary.
Each of the changes will officially take effect on August 1st.
