High Streamflow Advisories Re-Issued for Sections of the Northwest with Heavy Rain in the Forecast to Start Next Week

With the forecast calling for heavy rain early next week, the BC River Forecast Centre has re-issued some advisories in the Northwest.

A high streamflow advisory has been put in place for the Stikine River and tributaries in Tahltan territory and through the Cassiar Mountains.

Flows in the area are expected to reach 2 to 5 year flood levels on Sunday and Monday, as a low pressure system moves in over the weekend.
