As wildfire crews continued to battle a blaze threatening Tumbler Ridge, raging weekend winds have put an old nemesis back on their radar.
After a week of being held, the 466,000 hectare Donnie Creek fire in the North Peace is once again prompting evacuation orders.
Those orders cover properties east of Highway 97 and west of Milligan Creek, from Pink Mountain in the south to Beatton in the north.
That fire is also prompting an order further north along the Highway in the Beaver and Trutch Creek areas.
Anyone covered under the orders is asked to head to the Pomeroy Sports Centre in Fort St John immediately.
Meanwhile, the West Kiskatinaw River fire has shrunk to 19,000 hectares, but is still prompting evacuation orders for the District of Tumbler Ridge.
Evacuation orders are also in place east of the District, to the Alberta border, as the fire grows closer to the 3,200 hectare Peavine Creek blaze.
