A series of projects to increase accessibility for tourism operators have been completed in the Northwest.
Those projects were all funded by the Northern BC Tourism Association with a $150,500 boost from PacifiCan’s Tourism Relief Fund.
That boost was used to create the Accessibility Enhancement Program which has seen the completion of fourteen projects for a total of $125,000.
Some of those projects included things like purchasing a new all terrain scooter for the Terrace Visitors Centre, new automatic doors at the Kasiks Wilderness Resort, and enhanced wheelchair accessibility at the Waterlilly Bay Resort.
