Emergency response teams from Prince George and Mackenzie are responding to a motor vehicle incident involving a charter bus on the Firth Lake Forest Service Road.
Initial reports show approximately 30 passengers on the bus, though it’s unknown at this time how many are injured.
Seven ground ambulances, three B.C. Emergency Health Service units and multiple frontline police officers have been dispatched to the site.
As well, RCMP are working with Northern Health to get their connections bus to the location, though road conditions have made it difficult.
Though so far no serious injuries have been reported, the University Hospital of Northern B.C. has declared a code orange to assist in the incident.
Northern Health is asking residents to avoid the UHNBC emergency department unless the issue is life-threatening.

Earlier this morning, a fatal motor vehicle incident occurred between a motorcycle and semi-truck closing down a stretch of Highway 16 East.
