Another stop work order issued along the Coastal GasLink pipeline route has been lifted, leaving the total number of active orders at five.
Issued on May 6th by the Environmental Assessment Office, the order had covered a portion of the route southeast of McLeod Lake.
It came after an inspection found CGL had failed to prevent sediment-laden water from reaching streams in the Upper Anzac watershed.
They had covered two other sites in the Upper Anzac watershed, as well as one each in the Morice River and Clore River watersheds.
While the EAO has found activities at those sites to be back within compliance, five stop work orders remain at other points along the route.
CGL says that they have over 700 employees working to implement sediment and erosion control measures across the entire project.
You can find information on all EAO orders and records for the project at this link.
