A fire broke out near the Skeena River this morning.
Just before noon, the Thornhill Volunteer Fire Department responded to a blaze at an encampment near Substation Road at the base of the new bridges.
Luckily, smoke from the blaze was visible and was reported almost immediately, resulting in a quick response from fire crews.
The fire department says the cause was most likely human error and no injuries were reported as a result.
