All evacuation orders in the province have now been lifted, but the wildfire season is still far from over.
A total of 870,000 hectares have burned in BC this season, with the Donnie Creek fire in the North Peace accounting for over 60 percent of that.
It remains the largest wildfire in BC’s history, with evacuation alerts still in place for the Tommy Lakes area east of Highway 97.
Snowpacks across BC currently sit at 4 percent of normal levels, a drop from 29 percent at the beginning of June.
That compares to levels of between 170 and 1,300 percent of normal levels at this time last year.
Fire danger ratings remain at high across the north, with category two and three open burning still banned across the province.
Campfires are also banned in the Prince George Fire Centre and the Nadina Fire Zone in the Northwest Centre.
