Maintenance work on the Russet Bluff water system in the Cariboo has now wrapped up, but water-use advisories remain in place.
On June 16th, the Caribbo Regional District issued both a water quality and boil water advisory covering users of the system.
That was in order to allow for reservoir cleaning and system flushing work, which is now completed.
But, the advisories will remain in place until water sampling and analysis can be completed with positive results.
Until that time, residents are advised to boil water for at least one minute before using it for drinking, cooking, washing dishes or food, or brushing their teeth.
In addition, tap water should not be used to prepare baby formula, even if boiled, until the advisories are lifted.
