Police in Prince Rupert are reminding residents to drink responsibly after nabbing three impaired drivers in a twenty minute span last night.
Each were caught at a Mandatory Alcohol Screening check-stop set up at the corner of 1st Avenue West and Bill Murray Drive just before 11:00.
Check stops allow officers to demand breath samples from drivers, without needing reasonable suspicion of impairment.
With summer getting underway and business picking up for bars and pubs, police say they will be conducting the stops more frequently.
Drivers are reminded that, in BC, you can face legal ramifications for driving with as little as 51 mg per 100 ml of blood.
