New complex care for those living with mental health and addiction challenges is coming to Terrace.
Northern Health is providing 10 new complex care housing spaces in Ksan Society’s Sonder House.
In addition to those spaces, services will also be offered for those facing overlapping mental health and addiction challenges.
Those include psychiatric assessments and treatments, medication management, and substance use disorder services.
As well, peer, daily living, work, and landlord support will also be offered as part of the program for those in low income housing or market rentals.
Director of Housing and Development for Ksan Elaine McGillivray says that the need for complex care has increased alongside the number of individuals accessing their supports in Terrace.
As of June 1, complex care services have increased for up to 256 people in B.C.
