Ex-Assembly of First Nations National Chief RoseAnne Archibald says her removal from office is a distraction from the organization’s corruption.
That followed a lengthy human resources investigation, launched last June after multiple employees accused her of harassment and bullying.
Archibald refuted the complaints and countered by accusing the AFN of corruption, collision, and attempting to silence her.
Those accusations came alongside her calls for a forensic audit into the last 8 years of the organization’s finances.
But, despite just 231 of 634 eligible First Nations being represented, Archibald has now become the first National Chief to be voted out mid-term.
It’s a decision which she calls one of the most violent acts against a First Nations woman in leadership ever.
Now, she is asking for support to allow her to fulfill what she calls her sacred responsibility, and expose alleged corruption within the AFN.
