A new partnership will provide much-needed funding to help manage Northeastern BC’s first and only National Historic Site.
Located in Charlie Lake, the Tse’k’wa National Historic Site is also on a short list of National Historic Sites officially managed by First Nations.
Last month, in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, Ovinitiv Inc provided a fresh $400,000 in funding to support their efforts.
Those funds will be distrubuted to the Tse’k’wa Heritage Society to support the development of a world-class museum and interpretive centre.
It marks the largest corporate funding injection since they begin fundraising for infrastructure improvements two years ago.
