Dozens of wildfires pepper the Northwest Fire Centre after dry conditions and lightning strikes over the weekend.
Several of those are prompting evacuation alerts and orders from the Bulkley Nechako Regional District.
23 hectares, the Powers Creek fire near Telkwa has one alert and order in place covering properties west of the river off Tatlow Road.
Along with the Wet’suwet’en and Skin Tyee First Nations, the 1,200 hectare Parrot Lookout fire has one alert and three orders now in place.
Meanwhile, the 350 Tintagel fire is causing one alert and one order, while it conjoins with the 275 hectare Sheraton Creek Fire.
More orders are in place around Finger Lake, north of the Provincial Park, due to a 270 hectare blaze.
Now covering 300 hectares, the Tsah Creek fire is also leading to orders for properties on either side of Highway 27 near Echo Lake.
The regional district has also ordered an alert for the 6 hectare Tatin Lake fire north of Highway 16 and west of Endako.
And orders remain in place for the 47,000 hectare Big Creek fire burning in the Omineca Provincial Park.
Dozens of smaller out of control fires are littered across Highway 16 as well, with more than 260 actively burning in BC.
