Emergency Department services at the Kitimat General Hospital will experience interruptions overnight, as physicians are diverted to Terrace.
Northern Health says the interruptions will last between 7:00 tonight and 8:00 tomorrow morning in order to keep up coverage at Mills Memorial Hospital.
It comes just two days after a similar shortage of coverage forced them to reduce emergency services at the Terrace hospital overnight.
Patients who are experiencing life-threatening symptoms, such as chest pains, difficulty breathing, or severe bleeding, should still call 9-1-1.
Urgent and emergent patients will be transported to the nearest available facility offering appropriate services.
Those who are unsure whether or not their symptoms warrant a trip to the emergency room can call 8-1-1, or visit HealthLinkBC.
