Wildfires burning in the Northwest Fire Centre continue to prompt multiple evcuation notices in the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako.
All properties accessed by Buck Flats road and going south until Roses road junction near Houston, have now been ordered to evacuate due to the 250 hectare Peacock Creek fire.
In the Finger Lake area, two orders and an alert are in place for that 270 hectare fire and grows closer to the 300 hectare Pelican Lake fire.
That blaze is prompting it’s own set of evacuation notices from the Cariboo Regional District.
North of there, the Tsah Creek fire south of Fort St James is nearly 400 hectares and has one alert and one order.
Meanwhile, even further north of there, the now 47,000 hectare Big Creek fire has 2 orders and 1 alert remaining in place.
Burning 4,200 hectares south west of Burns Lake, the Parrot Lookout fire has four evacuation orders and one alert in place.
Surrounding Burns Lake, the Pinkut lake blaze in the north and the Tintagel fire just to the east have a combined two orders and three alerts.
Alerts also remain in place for the Klawli Lake, Powers Creek, and Tatin Lake fires.
An evacuation alert was also issued for properties in Fort Babine due to the 140 hectare Nilkitwa blaze.
Near the Alaska border, the 30,000 hectare Little Blue Creek fire continues to prompt a state of emergency for the Stikine Region.
