Only eight cabinet members held on to their portfolios following a near complete overhaul of the Ministry by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Of the 38-member cabinet, 23 have either been shifted to entirely new portfolios, or had new responsibilities added to their previous roles.
Seven members of the previous cabinet have also been dropped entirely in favour of fresh faces.
Among those is the oft-criticized Marco Mendicino, who will hand the Public Safety portfolio to Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc.
Scarborough-Rouge Park MP Gary Anandasangaree is among the new faces as he takes the role of Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations.
He’ll take over that portfolio from Marc Miller, who will instead lead the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship.
Patty Hajdu remains Minister of Indigenous Services, and adds the Northern Ontario Economic Development Agency to her workload.
Former Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez becomes Minister of Transport, a portfolio which Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Taylor Bachrach shadows.
