The province is continuing their engagement efforts with the public to inform their anti-racism legislation through a new grant.
68 organizations in BC have split $300,000 to provide a safe space for people to share their perspectives and experiences with discrimination.
Skeena Diversity Society in Terrace will be putting their $4,000 to use through a series of dialogue sessions for interested organizations and communities.
Those sessions will be used for people who wish to share their experiences with racism and other forms of discrimination.
They’ll also educate attendees on anti-racism, faith-based and LGBTQ2S+ discrimination.
Elsewhere in the north, the Northern Lights College in Fort St. John has received funding for the same purpose.
It comes in addition to the provinces’ anti-racism questionnaire which can be found at this link.
