Northern Health has issued a toxic drug alert following an increase in overdoses linked to a variety of substances in Dawson Creek.
Recent overdoses have been linked to a bright red or orange powder, a blue substance sold as crystal meth, and possibly other colourful substances.
Each are prompting sudden symptoms, requiring hospitalization and lengthy monitoring.
Users are advised to know their tolerance, start small and go slow, and to never use drugs alone or mix with alcohol.
