Drivers in Kitimat are being reminded to obey traffic rules and right-of-ways, and stay alert on the roads, following a string of recent incidents.
Yesterday, RCMP were called out to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Nalabila Boulevard and Kingfisher Avenue.
Both vehicles had stopped at the four-way stop, but both would also depart at the same time, causing a collision which sent one to hospital.
It followed a collision from July 29th, which saw a vehicle drive off the road way and strike two parked cars on the 1700 block of Nalabila.
Officers determined that the driver had not been impaired by alcohol, but rather had fallen asleep at the wheel while driving.
Over the past week, officers have also handed out multiple violations due to a lack of insurance, licenses, and headlight-useage.
