Emergency Department services at Wrinch Memorial Hospital in Hazelton will be interrupted over the long weekend.
Due to a shortage in physician coverage, emergency services will be unavailable between now and 7:00 Monday morning.
Patients who are experiencing life-threatening symptoms, such as chest pains, difficulty breathing or severe bleeding should still call 9-1-1.
Urgent and emergent patients will be transported to the nearest available facility offering appropriate services.
Those who are unsure whether or not their symptoms warrant a trip to the ER can call 8-1-1 or visit HealthLinkBC.ca.
