The British Columbia Utilities Commission is aiming to help Indigenous governments and organizations who wish to participate as interveners.
Provided on a first come first served basis, the Indigenous Intervener Capacity Fund will allocate up to $5,000 to BC based Indigenous entities.
That funding can be used to assist Indigenous governments and organizations prepare to be interveners in BCUC proceedings.
Those supports could inlude hosting community meetings, research, paying professional fees, and providing honorariums.
The pilot program will continue for one year or until funds have been exhuasted.
