Another round of the Cops for Cancer Tour de North is set to kick off on Friday, in support of childhood cancer research.
Each tour sees law enforcement and emergency personnel from countless communities cycle across Northern BC to raise awareness and support.
Participants will make multiple stops to join in community events over the course of the 7-day trip from Prince George to Prince Rupert.
They’ll get things going with a kick-off event at Heritage Elementary in Prince George at 9:00 Friday morning, before hitting the roads.
Next Monday will see them make a stop at the Houston RCMP detachment at around 11:00 in the morning, followed by the final stretch to the coast.
A closing ceremony will be held at the Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert at 5:00 next Thursday evening to close out the route.
