Three suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Quesnel from early this morning.
RCMP were initially called out to the foot bridge by North Fraser Drive at around 3:30 for reports of a man being attacked by three individuals.
Armed with guns and batons, the assailants stole the man’s wallet and back pack before making a getaway in a white Chevy Silverado.
Police were able to quickly locate the vehicle and all three suspects, two of which were already known to police.
At the time of the arrest, the suspects were found to be in possession of $6,300 in cash, a sawed-off shotgun, and a prohibited handgun.
Two of the men are being held in custody pending a court date, while the third was released to appear at a later date.
