Sustained heavy winds over the weekend prompted significant growth on a number of wildfires raging in the north.
That has led to sizeable extensions to the evacuation orders around Lucas Lake south of Fort Fraser, and Tatuk Lake south of Vanderhoof.
North of there, orders in the Great Beaver Lake and Noonlang Lake areas east and northeast of Fort St James, have also been expanded.
An order stretching from the Omineca Provincical Park south to Highway 27 remains in place as well, but is unchanged.
So to does an order where the Nadina River meets Francois Lake, and an alert around Marilla along Ootsa Lake.
Alerts also remain unchanged for an area just south of Houston and surrounding the Village of Witset.
Winds gusting as high as 70 kilometres an hour are expected to continue in some areas today, and could prompt further fire growth.
Fire danger ratings are set to low along the coast, but rise the further east you go, hitting extreme levels in the Nechako.
