Terrace was the site of one of numerous rallies held yesterday calling on Manitoba to search a landfill for three murdered Indigenous women.
Protesters marched across Canada yesterday to call for justice for the three women, believed to be victims of alleged serial killer Jeremy Skibicki.
He is currently facing first-degree murder charges in the deaths of Morgan Harris, Marcedes Myran, and a third unidentified woman known as Buffalo Woman.
Friends, family, and police believe all three to be buried at the Prairie Green Landfill, and have been calling for its search for months.
But the Manitoba Government has continued to refuse the search, citing health and safety concerns and the $184 million estimated cost.
In Terrace, attendees rallied outside the RCMP building following a march organized by the Tears to Hope Society.
In Winnipeg, hundreds filled the legislature lawn with red dresses as they demanded action in the name of justice and reconciliation.
