This year’s Cops for Cancer Tour de North raised over $150,000 for life-saving childhood cancer research.
Each year, local first responders team up with the Canadian Cancer Society for the week-long bicycle journey across northern BC.
Participants completed this year’s 850 kilometre trip from Prince George to Prince Rupert yesterday, making stops in four communities along the way.
Each stop saw them engage with communities and schools to raise funds for and boost awareness and support of childhood cancer research.
In addition, the funds raised will also contribute towards a national support system for children impacted by cancer and their families.
