An impromptu donation from LNG Canada marks the final funding boost needed to bring a much-needed CT scanner to Kitimat.
Last year, the Kitimat General Hospital Foundation launched a fundraising campaign aiming to collect $3 million to purchase a new scanner.
They have now met that goal, thanks in part to a $900,000 donation from LNG Canada made during the Foundation’s annual gala last weekend.
All other funds raised during the event will go towards purchasing new equipment to raise the level of care in Kitimat, and supporting staff at the Hospital.
You can find a list of their current fundraising projects at this link.
