A helicopter crash east of Prince George from this morning has claimed two lives and sent another four occupants to hospital.
They represent all six occupants of the helicopter, which went down off Highway 16 near the Purden Ski Hill at around 7:45 this morning.
RCMP say the vessel was privately-owned and had been conducting chartered flights in the area at the time of the crash.
No further details are available at this time, and the investigation is now being handed over to the Transportation Safety Board.
While no further details will be released by RCMP, both the Board and Coroners Service will be conducting their own parallel investigations.
