RCMP are hoping the public can help identify a woman who they believe fabricated an identity out of items stolen from a New Hazelton residence.
On August 30th, police responded to a break and enter at the isolated property, which had been vacant and up for sale for some time.
Video surveillance from the property shows a pair of women breaking into and stealing undisclosed items from the home.
Police now believe that one of the women used items stolen from the home to fabricate a new identity for herself.
She had attempted to make a purchase at a local store with a credit card and when it was declined, provided false photo ID with an obscured name.
Anyone with information which may help identify the woman is asked to contact New Hazelton RCMP at 250 942 5244.
