Ahead of Truth and Reconciliation Day, the province has invested $15 million into the First Nation Well-Being Fund.
Applications will be accepted through two streams until December 31, with approvals being announced in January and grants released right away.
One of those holds a maximum of $100,000 per community project to support First Nations wanting to improve the quality of life for their members.
While the other holds a $50,000 maximum to support community engagement projects to develop a plan to promote well-being, support dialogue, and reduce poverty at a community level.
Projects already completed through the fund address food security, cultural-based training, skills building, and development workshops.
