All open burning restrictions which had been in place across the Northwest Fire Centre have now been lifted.
Last week, the campfire ban was rescinded across the Centre, while the ban on category two and three burns were lifted in all but the Nadina Fire Zone.
As of noon today, all levels of open burning are allowed in the Northwest once more, though some precautions must still be followed.
Those include: ensuring easy access to a shovel or 8 litres of water, creating a fuel break, and fully extinguishing flames to the point where ashes are cold to the touch.
Those seeking to burn category three fires must first obtain a burn registration number by calling 1 888 797 1717.
