After coming under fire for their lackluster disaster support in recent months, the Province is seeking public input on new regulations.
Noticing the poor press, the province introduced the Emergency and Disaster Management Act last week.
They say it takes into account lessons learned from recent emergencies, and modernizes previous regulations, but it is still not complete.
Planning is still underway on new post-emergency financial assistance rules, and regulations to supplement new provisions for local authorities.
Individuals, communities, and small businesses all have until December 31st to submit input on how financial supports should look.

Virtual workshops are also being held next month, with registration information available at this link.
