BC is looking to expand local production of higher-valued wood products by gathering input through a series of industry meetings.
Dubbed Accelerator Tables, the province is encouraging value-added wood manufacturers across the province to join in the discussions.
Participants will share industry knowledge in an effort to develop solutions sustain, grow, and diversify the value-added sector.
Initial discussions will focus on improving the flow of economic fibre, which has handcuffed many manufacturers over the past year.
Tables will be held in the North, South, and Coastal regions, with the first virtual meetings coming up later this month.
In the north, the table will be hosted between 9:00 and 11:00 next Thursday morning, and coastal meetings are slated for 1:00 to 3:00 in the afternoon on October 24th.
