Prince Rupert Councillors have unanimously selected a new municipal flag to represent the city.
With the City changing their logos and branding last year, the old flag no longer fit and was deemed to be outdated and overly complex.
In August, council was presented with a number of options for a new design, but ultimately sent city staff back to the drawing board.
Taking council’s suggestions into account, staff returned this week with three revised designs to pick from.
All councillors voted in favour of Option C, which depicts three of the City’s arch-style logos styled in the colours of a rainbow, wedged between a mountain range.
There is no word yet on when residents can expect to see the new flag flying high above city hall.
