All evacuation alerts and orders have now been rescinded in the Northwest, as the wildfire season appears to be entering the home stretch.
Alerts which had been in place south of Houston, and where the Nadina River meets Francois Lake were fully rescinded yesterday.
So to were alerts around Lucas Lake and Tatuk Lake, south of Fort Fraser and Vanderhoof, and around the Noonlang and Great Beaver Lakes north of there.
Other alerts which had covered the area around the Omineca Provincial Park, and a large swath of the Northeast have also been lifted.
Of the 320 active wildfires province-wide, just 42 are currently listed as out-of-control, with no fires of note listed by the Wildfire Service.
Fire danger ratings have dropped to low or very low across the Northwest, with rain in the forecast expected to bring even more relief.
