A tentative collective bargaining agreement has been reached between the College of New Caledonia and the Union representing its faculty.
As a result, classes at the school’s six campuses were able to continue, though extra-curricular and voluntary after-class work was put on hold.
Union members will now vote on whether or not to accept the proposed deal, which follows months of unsuccessful negotiations.
More details about the agreement will be made public once the deal is ratified, should members vote to do so.
